The Evolving Role of CFOs
Thursday, April 23, 2015 4:00 – 6:00pm PST The Bay Area Finance Officers Group
A learning event lead by Robert Sher in conjunction with Gary Wohl, President and CFO of Harris & Associates.
The evolving role of the CFO reflects the increasing demands, as well as the new opportunities for C-suite executives of midsized companies to expand the scope of their leadership. CFOs are increasingly working in close strategic partnerships with CEOs, or moving into the chief leadership role themselves. In either case, CFOs find they are in new territory, where the language of numbers and analytics must be translated into the language of strategy and vision.
What are the new skills needed to ensure successful partnerships, smooth transitions, and a cohesive team? How does the conversation change, when decision-making is looking into an unknown future, vs. an analysis of past performance? What skills and insights do CFOs bring that make them uniquely qualified to lead a company?
To prepare for this event please read Rob’s published CFO.com article: “How the CFO Can Become the CEO’s Collaborator in Growth.”
This event is by invitation only. If you are interested in participating please contact our office with your request.
