Mighty Midsized Companies
Anthony Lacavera speaks about his Bias Toward Action
Canadian-born telecom entrepreneur, Anthony “Tony” Lacavera is Chairman and CEO of the Globalive Group and Wind Mobile. He was named Canada’s CEO of the Year in 2010 by the Globe and Mail’s Report on Business Magazine, Canada’s Top 40 Under 40 in 2006, and one of the 50 Most Influential Torontonians by Toronto Life Magazine in 2013. Anthony founded Globalive in 1998 and co-founded Wind Mobile in 2008.
Tony joins Rob Sher, best-selling author of Mighty Midsized Companies for the first webinar in a 3-part series, Saving Your Midsized Company from the 7 Silent Growth Killers. Playback available.
Tony Lacavera will share how he maintained a culture and “bias toward action” as the company grew, while up against huge competitors. He will speak to his approach of enabling speed to market and innovation drive their success to nearly a billion dollars.
For executive teams of midsized companies, leading a steadily growing or rapidly expanding business can be exhilarating –that is, until demands unique to running midsized companies envelope them (either suddenly or slowly over time) and put a strain on financials, damage operations, and grind growth to a halt. Midsized companies are particularly susceptible to misdiagnosed or hard-to-detect pitfalls that drain momentum, sap energy and resources, and can even put a firm out of business.
In each webinar, Rob illuminates the pivotal experiences of his guest speakers; and attendees are invited to participate in a live Q&A.
