Keeping Your Team on Track (and Accountable)

Tuesday, July 28, 2015 @  10:00am – 11:00am PST   A New Webinar

Keeping Your Team on Track (and Accountable)

At all levels of management, a primary responsibility is to help your direct reports spend their time on the most important, high priority work.  Far too often, managers get too far away from where their subordinates efforts are focused, then are surprised and disappointed when crucial tasks are ignored or delayed.

The answer isn’t micro-managing.  It is having a regular check in with each subordinate, with written notes capturing the agreed upon priorities for the time period ahead (often a week, sometimes two weeks or a month).  But a weekly chat isn’t what we are talking about.  We recommend a specific format and approach that simultaneously develops the organizational skills of the subordinate, as well as assures that they are working on the projects and priorities of their boss.

We see this problem arise often in the companies we work with: Senior leaders can’t step up if management that reports to them is missing some fundamental management skills.  This webinar will give managers a key skill they need to succeed allowing more effective delegation, thus freeing up their time to focus on higher level leadership work.

By sharing this hour with us, you will learn:

  • How to teach direct reports to spend their time on the most important, high priority work
  • The key to getting work done without micro-managing
  • How to develop organizational skills of subordinates, freeing up your time to focus on creating a successful company

Based on client requests, Rob is presenting a new 45 – 60 minute webinar discussion, valuable for all levels of management, from first time managers, senior leaders and possibly right up to the CEO.  This will feel like a conference call, with some screen sharing.  Questions and examples of current challenges are encouraged, and will be submitted through a webinar-like interface and if possible, we’ll turn on the microphones of those who wish to pose questions.

We hope you can join us.  Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions.
