Financial Executives International and
National Association of Corporate Directors.
Presentation and Panel Moderation.
Rob made a presentation and moderated this joint meeting of NACD and FEI. In preparation for this event, Rob created and ran a survey of both FEI and NACD members related to the roles and responsibilities of both CFOs and Boards, and how they should be working together.
This was an exciting joint meeting between FEI and and the NACD for the purpose of learning how boards and Chief Financial Officers can work together better. We discussed the most effective ways to overcome some of the common challenges to effective board and CFO interaction. Our panelists, consisting of current and former CFOs, have worked in various senior roles in their careers and included a current CFO, a former CFO now serving as CEO and a former CFO who is currently a director.
The panel of experts shared their perspectives on board and CFO interaction, and how that perspective has evolved as their roles within their organization have changed. We discussed strategies for boards and CFOs for engaging more effectively and working together toward the common goal of increasing long-term shareholder value.
