An Uber-Simple Book Review
So you’ve read a book, and may have been asked to write a book review—probably by the author. You’re short of time, or maybe you don’t think you’re expert enough to weigh in.
But every book review really helps the author, even if it is short and simple. Just answer these questions in sentence format (in any order) and you’ll be golden.
- In general, what is the book about?
- Was it easy to read?
- Was it well written?
- Are there lots of examples?
- Do you believe (or know) the author has good credentials?
- Do you think the book would be helpful to the intended reader?
- Was there a part of the book you especially liked? What part was that?
- If you were telling a friend about this book, what else would you say to them?
